FIRST ANNUAL “REMEMBER THE CHILDREN” MEMORIAL EVENT
Please join us for an
inspiring and enjoyable day.

Sunday, June 1st: A WALK TO
REMEMBER
11:00am
Join us for a memorable,
thought provoking walk on the magnificent 247-acre
Welwyn Preserve, home of the Holocaust Memorial and
Tolerance Center of Nassau County.

“An Event to Remember”
Visit the Center, enjoy
the beautiful grounds and join us for an event
honoring the memory of the Children. The program
will include musical presentations by Children’s
Choirs from various communities. There is no charge,
however, visitors will be encouraged to make a
$10.00 donation for a butterfly in the memory of a
Holocaust child to be placed on the Children’s
Memorial Butterfly Wall. Light refreshments. RSVP’s
are requested.

ANNUAL TRIBUTE DINNER
Monday, November 17th
6:30pm
– Woodbury Jewish Center.
This year, we are
honoring Jack Stein and The Mindel Family. Honorable
Senator Carl Marcellino will be the recipient of the
Bruce Morrell Education Award. Sponsorship
packages, Journal ads and dinner information will be
forthcoming.

its annual arts competition
This year, in addition to literature and art, we offer a
new category – MUSIC
Topics: “Power of Youth during the Holocaust,”
“From Bystander to Upstander,” and “Remembering the Past
to Secure the Future”
